Copyright statement

The content of the What-if website is protected by copyright and all other rights (if any) are reserved by EDRIC (European Dysmelia Reference Information Center).  The content from third parties published by agreement on the What-if website is subject to the copyright of these third parties.  EDRIC (European Dysmelia Reference Information Center) can and will not give any permissions with regard to these copyrights.  Where content from third parties is published on the What-if website an aknoweldgement statement with a link to the homepages identifies the third party. 

Incorporation of all or any part of the content in any other work or publication, whether paper or electronic media or other form, is expressly prohibited without the prior consent of EDRIC. 

Reproduction of portions of the content, whether in paper or electronic media or other form, is authorised for personal, non-commercial, use and recopy to individual third parties for their personal information or, to health and social care or rare disease organisations for educational or other informative use, save where otherwise stated, provided that:

a.  the user acknowledges the What-if website as the source of the content;
b.  such an acknowledgement and suitable reference to What-if is made in the copy of the content;
c.  the user informs third parties that they are subject to and must comply with the conditions of the What-if website;
d.  the user acknowledges the original copyright and intellectual property ownership of the material where stated.

Some of the content in the What-if website may contain references to materials from third parties, which shall be indicated where applicable, for which copyright and intellectual property rights must be honoured. 

The EDRIC Resource Centre contains material for which the copyright and intellectual property rights may be owned by third parties, which will be indicated where applicable, and which must be honoured. 

The user may not modify the content found on the What-if website without the permission of EDRIC. 

The user may not copy or otherwise republish, lend, post on servers, transmit or redistribute to mailing lists the content of this website for commercial purposes or for compensation of any kind without prior permission from EDRIC. 

Where prior permission must be obtained for the reproduction or use of textual and multimedia information (sound, images, software, etc.), such permission shall cancel the above-mentioned general permission and shall clearly indicate any restrictions on use. 

The permissions described above shall be revocable at any time by EDRIC.
